T.E.A.M.
In use throughout the world theT.E.A.M. program targets 5th and 7th grade students. A 10-week program, T.E.A.M. teaches the harmful effects of drugs, alcohol and tobacco products, bullying, and internet dangers. Students who complete the program receive a certificate and a T.E.A.M. t-shirt at a graduation ceremony.
The 7th grade T.E.A.M. Program was added at the White Lake Middle School in the 2018/2019 school year as a continuation of the 5th grade T.E.A.M. Program, and to act as a reinforcement of the information already learned. The 7th grade program focuses on class participation, where students practice real-life situations.
Other activities that the T.E.A.M. Officer coordinates include an annual golf outing that raises money to fund T.E.A.M. The golf outing also helps fund 5th grade camp for students as well as the annual “Shop with a Cop” at Christmas time. Officer Kidle also conducts an annual fundraiser for M.D.A. with the White Lake Middle School. Proceeds from the fundraiser help send children suffering from M.D.A. To summer camp.
Officer Kidle can be reached at 248-698-3300 ext. 160 or skidle@whitelakepolice.com
